GOLF: Eagle-eyed Eddie wins Spring League
THE Spring League Competition at the Kilrea Manor Golf club was won by Team 4 led by Eddie O'Kane.
The other players were J Keane, N McCann, P McLernon, S Wylie, S Hasson, B Kidd, and J Turner.
The individual winning prize was shared by Chris Darragh and Pat Conlon with 188 points over the five rounds, a very commendable consistency by both players.
Congratulations to them and the team winners.
The weekend competition was won by Henry McAleese with 42 points, and runner up was Pat Conlon on 41.
There were only two twos recorded, namely by P Quinn at the 3rd, and L Healy at the eighth.
The Captain's Shotgun Competition kick starts the new season on Sunday, March 28 and members are reminded to get their names on the notice board sheet as soon as possible.
On the club noticeboard is the new web page. It gives a little information on the club and club competition scores.
