Good finish for U12 hurlers

Over the last three weeks Eoghan Rua’s Under-12 hurlers have been playing in the County indoor ‘airborne’ hurling tournament and won through their qualifiers topping Section 1 to reach ‘finals day’ last weekend.

Eoghan Rua were joined in their group by qualifiers Kevin Lynch’s , Dungiven who were runners-up from the qualifying stage, Ballinascreen and Na Magha from Derry.

The Coleraine boys beat Na Magha and drew with both Kevin Lynchs and Ballinascreen to finish as runners up in the tournament with Ballinascreen as overall winners as they had wins against Dungiven and Na Magha to edge a close run finish. Over the 3 weeks the Eoghan Rua boys played extremely well remaining unbeaten through the whole competition and were very unlucky not to come out overall winners against some very strong teams.

The panel was: Dara Mooney, Lorcan McMullen, Leo Passmore, Reese Benson, Conor Devine, Joshua Mullan, Seamus Donaghy and Kosta Papachristopoulos.
