COLERAINE’S Julie Henderson and Sara Greenberg from Newtownabbey, pictured, successfully defended the Northern Ireland Ladies Doubles title in Whitehead.

They defeated Clare Webster and Lyndsey Ruddock 5-1 followed by Sally Caughey & Roisin Smith 5-3 to reach the final where Mary McCourt and Jean McIlroy awaited.

But Julie and Sarah proved too strong and ran out convincing 5-0 winners.
