Local boxers Mickey Fleming and Alan ‘Spike’ Martin have organised a charity fight night in the Lodge Hotel in September.

Mickey and Alan are now on the look out for brave volunteers to take part.

Mickey told Times Sport: “The charity night will take place on Sunday, September 23. It’s for a great cause, this charity do great work with children here in Northern Ireland.

“The night there will be a mixture of exhibition bouts and contests, and it will geared towards all levels of boxing.

“We hope that it will give those that maybe haven’t boxed in a while the chance to return, and of course those who have no experience at all will be given training.”

On the night there will be an auction of sporting memorabilia and a special guest will be in attendance.

Anyone who wishes to take part, or get involved with the event as a sponsor should contact Mickey on 078 219 643 89 or Alan on 0797 187 0428.
