Coleraine Anglers’ Association Ltd have held their annual charity competition and barbecue at Dunalis Reservoir on Saturday which had a great turn out with club members and families enjoying the day.

The competition best catch was won by Terry Austin with Paul Nash landing the best trout, and little Elle-Louise Hughes winning the junior best catch with the junior best trout going to Harry Simpson.

The rifle target contest that was organised and controlled by Kenny Hutchinson was won by Mervyn Norris with Harry Simpson winning the junior prize.

The day ended with a lovely barbecue cooked by Joe and Peter McMullan.

The event raised over £1000 for Alzheimer’s research and the club committee would like to thank everyone who helped in any way and donated prizes for the raffle.

Also the committee would like to thank the following for their kind donations on the day; Gilmore Fuels who donated 500litres of heating oil that was auctioned, meat vouchers from Gary’s Meats, Tesco and Asda, Stephen Erdis Boiler Services, Outdoor and Country Sports and Smyth’s Country Sports.
