Local birds compete in race from Clonmel

In the weekend race from Clonmel the birds raced on Friday, brought forward by one day due to weather conditions.

Best birds locally were timed in the Coleraine Premier who had just under 400 birds competing. T & J McDonald had 1st and 2nd with the winner doing velocity 1480 at the top in Coleraine Triangle. From the same club Hanson & Harpur were well placed with two birds followed by Diamond Bros. W & W Murdock had 1st Windsor Social (1437) and Terence McCrudden was 1st Coleraine & County Derry (1427).

Talbenny National Race Marking – The race entry fees etc. will be collected on Wednesday 28th August from 8.30pm to 9.30pm at Cullybackey Clubrooms. Birds will be race marked in Cullybackey on Thursday 29th August from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Clocks ready after transporter leaves centre. Clubs should send two members.
