Coleraine focused on points as North West title race gathers pace

The weather again won the day last Saturday with the three Long's Supervalu Premiership games wiped out.

There was one result in midweek when Drummond picked up their first win defeating Bready, a result that leaves Strabane the only side without a victory.

There are four games this Saturday in the hope the weather takes a turn for the better.

Eglinton v Ardmore

These two sides share top spot with Coleraine. The Villagers have turned in some excellent performances in recent weeks and they now are serious title challengers. They will be hoping Orion Wiliams is fit after injuring himself against Brigade.

Ardmore have reached the O’Neills Ulster Cup final and with Decker Curry seemingly as good as ever they fear no one; that said if he fails there are not enough players getting runs and if they are to maintain their challenge that has to change.

Bready v Donemana

David Scanlon’s side had a good win at Ardmore but then lost at Drummond, although they have a couple of sides below them they are still not out of the woods as regards relegation.

Donemana have been the biggest losers with the weather as they have a back log of fixtures. However if they can get them played and get wins then they can go to the top of the table. They must win this one to keep up their challenge.

Coleraine v Drummond

The Bannsiders will have one eye on next weekend’s Senior Cup final however they will be expecting to continue their good form even after their defeat by Eglinton. Roshen Silva may be back for this one.

Drummond at last broke their duck with that win over Bready that will have done their confidence the world of good. However they couldn’t have picked tougher opponents this time and the home side will be strong favourites.

Brigade v Strabane

Andy Britton’s side are just two points behind the leaders and still very much in the hunt. They have been showing a bit more consistency in recent games with a number of players getting among the runs. Strabane are in serious trouble and confidence is at its lowest. Skipper Ryan Gallagher must show all his leadership to get them out of this mess but he needs help with to many players not performing this looks like another defeat.
