Coleraine march on

Coleraine's Steven Dickey was in good form against Limavady on Saturday.

Coleraine will find out later this week who they face in the quarter finals on 5 November.

They will be hoping for the advantage of a home draw but, in the meantime, attention returns to the league and a visit from Grosvenor this weekend.

Speaking after the game coach Richard Boyd said: “I am very happy with the win and pleased to keep the momentum going.

“I thought we were very clinical in the first half and took our opportunities when they came about. Our scrum, defence and discipline were excellent and this prevented Limavady from really getting into the game.

“As expected, Limavady came out very strong after the interval and showed how good a side they can be. I thought we tried to force things too much in the second half which led to silly errors and we lost our shape for a period.

“We did finish the game strongly and Limavady had to work very hard for their points, which is always a good sign.

“I thought Steven Dickey, Michael Ferguson and Rodger Bonnar led from the front with strong carries and work at the breakdown.

“In the backs Cameron Fulton looked sharp at scrum half and Alan Clarke continued his excellent run of form.

“Overall it is great to get a big win and lay down a marker against our local rivals in front of a large and supportive crowd.

“The squad know we have plenty to work on and we will have to raise our game against a much fancied Grosvenor side this weekend.”

This Saturday Coleraine entertain Grosvenor in the league at Sandel Lodge and they will be looking for another strong performance, to keep the league campaign on track.

On Sunday Coleraine play hosts to the Perennials touring side on their annual visit to the North Coast.
