ULSTER, Irish and County champions will be strutting their stuff in the ring this Friday night, as Churchlands Golden Gloves hosts another fight night in the Bushtown House Hotel.

Davy Boyle, Coleraine’s Caring Caretaker will be the Club’s guest following his donation of a defibrillator from his annual fundraising efforts.

Club coach Mickey Fleming is looking forward to the night.

“It’ll be a great night of boxing,” he told Times Sport.

“We’ll have 16 fights on the night featuring Ulster, Irish and County champions.”

Topping the bill is Churchland’s boxer Karl Rushe who will be taking on Darren McGuigan of Springhill in Moneymore.

Former Ulster champion Anthony McIvor of Chruchlands will go head to head with another former Ulster champion Seamus McAllister.

Up and coming prospect Lewis Dickey, Irish champion and Ulster representative will face Brian McNamee in a re-match. McNamee has been Irish Champion twice and is a former Irish International boxer, so this bout is set to be a closely fought affair.

The first bout will start at 8.30.

Admission is £7 or £5 for under 16.
