NEW YEARS DAY DRIVE IN AT PORTSTEWART GOLF CLUB

In time honoured tradition the annual ‘drive in’ by the two new captains took place on New Years Day at Portstewart Golf Club.

In front of a large crowd the Secretary Manager Michael Moss invited the new captains to the first tee.

Captains for 2013 Mo Giffen and Malcolm Glover, who had received their club blazers at a function on New Years Eve then drove off straight down the first fairway to the applause of members and friends. The ceremony was followed by celebratory meal at the clubhouse and musical entertainment by the excellent Jazz Lite.
