Northern Zone Ladies Inter-Zone Match

The Northern Zone Ladies’ Team travel to Enniskillen to play Western in the semi-final of the Plate Competition on Saturday 19 January at 2.00pm.

The bus will leave Kilrea at 10.30am, Castle Street car park Ballymoney at 10.45am, Asda car park Coleraine at 11.00am, and Garvgh at 11.15am. Fare for the bus will be £10 and supporters will be very welcome.

Northern Zone Men Secure Place in Semi-Finals of Plate Competition

The Northern Zone Men’s team played Donegal on Saturday in Raphoe. At half time the two teams could not be separated and the score was locked at 24 each.

The second half was a tense hard-fought game, with first one side taking the lead and then the other. In the last 2 ends the Northern team held their nerves and emerged winners by 8 shots. The final score was Northern 59 Donegal 51.

The Northern Zone will now meet North-Eastern in the semi-final of the competition on 26th January.

Results were: J. Calvin v P.J. Gallagher 7 - 12, A. Irwin v P. McGee 8 -10, B. McAlary v D. McClintock 14 - 7, W. McCaw v N. Alexander 13- 3, E. Irwin v J. Quinn 9 - 8, A. Steele v A. Steele 8 - 11.
