Twelve handicapper Stephen Macauley nabbed 32 points for sixteen holes to win Portstewart’s Saturday Sweep on countback.

He scored a few single pointers and scored nothing at the par five seventh to have gained just 12 points from the opening eight holes. He wouldn’t have expected to get round the second eight in just two over par after that but he did it!

A shot dropped with a four at twelve and another at eighteen with a five and with the rest being parred he had another 22 for his collection and a win on countback from Paul Hewitt and Norman Grills who both finished on 32 points.
