The February meeting of the Northeast Golfing Alliance took place at Portstewart GC recnently where some 86 golfers shared a fine day over the sixteen holes in play.

Home players featured strongly with Allen Bell, well recovered from his recent injury, winning the day with 38 points, two in front of Ciaran Cooley, Chris Young and Castlerock’s Raymond Eakin all on 36. Gilbert Fallows, Brian McCafferty, Jim O’Rorke and Des Giffin hit 35 each and were followed by a trio of 34s from Clifford Dunlop, John Bunting and Paddy McAleese. S Robinson took the final prize with 33 points
