Tie break win for Brian

Ten handicap Brian Lockhart scored 20 points for the opening nine at Royal Portrush on Saturday to help him on his way to winning the sweep.

His birdie two at eleven further strengthening his position he ended the day with 33 points for the fourteen holes in play. Richard McClements was the unfortunate tie break loser. Richard covered the front nine in one under par to gather 21 points for his efforts and birdied the seventeenth in four but came up just short in the end.

Third place went to Kieran Crowley on 32 points. Kieran’s birdie four at nine meant 20 points for the first nine and 12 more were added from the shortened back half. His unfortunate six at the last kept him out of the top placings.
