POOL: Three Person team final

THIS SEASON'S Mr Chips 3 Person team final will be an McNulty's A-Sperrin A affair.

Through to last night's final were Damien Reid, Adrian O'Kane and Darren McColgan of McNulty's A against Sperrin's Raymond Stockman, Paul O'Connor and Billy Moore.

There were 28 entries in this competition which always throws up a few shocks.

An early surprise was the exit of Tommy Morrow, Gavin Patton and Ryan Craig who lost out 5-4 in a cracking match to Raymond Baxter, Gary McCafferty and Wahib Ziani.

Reid, O'Kane and McColgan reached the final thanks to a 5-3 win over March Hutchison, Allen Tosh and Neville Smyth in their semi-final.

Stockman, O'Connor and Moore, who had earlier beaten Baxter, McCafferty and Ziani, defeated Andy Park, Jimmy Moore and Russell Kirkpatrick in the other semi-final.

Interestingly Darren McColgan was a beaten finalist in last year's final when he teamed up with Raymond Stockman and Paul O'Connor.

Defending champions Davy Tosh, Willie Boreland and Lee Hull suprisingly lost in round 2 this year, going out 4-4 to Scott Clark, Gary Wallace and Chris Wade.

* MARK Hutchison and Steven Doey of McNulty's A were last night (Monday) due to play 147's Jimmy Moore and Andy Park in the final of the Lodge Hotel Doubles.

A full report on both finals will appear in next week's Times.
