POOL: Captain's Cup joy for veterans

THE first titles of the 2010 Festival of Pool were claimed by two of the league's more senior members.

Each division's captains get the chance to play for this title, giving them a chance to get a reward for all their hard work during the year.

Sperrin captain Raymond Stockman retained the Division 1 Captain's Cup with some great pool.

After getting past Raymond Baxter and Chris Wade he set up a final with Scotts' Paul Baird. In what was a long tactical battle, the Sperrin man showed better finishing to retain his crown.

Railway Arms captain and league treasurer Arthur McMullan (right) won the Division 2 title as he beat Montra's Johnny Goldie in a one sided final.

McMullan was in great form, finishing the match with a super double on his last red to finish perfect on the black. Exhibition stuff!
