Coleraine Seconds stormed to a 53-0 demolition of visiting Banbridge Thirds on Saturday.
The league match was a rather one-sided affair and produced some notable multiple scoring performances. Coleraine’s Cameron Jinks notched up four tries whilst Nigel Hall claimed two.
The scoring started with a penalty kick from Cameron Jinks after ten minutes, to claim three points.
As the game progressed the pack worked well and mauled up-field. Ady Nevin made great ground and in the end Alan Stirling picked up at back of the maul and powered over to score. The conversion attempt missed.
In the final stages of the first half Cameron Jinks decimated the opposition defence and scored two tries. Not content with this he also converted both bringing the score to 22-0 at half time.
As the second half started the backs were on the move again and centre Nigel Hall sprinted away to score. The conversion was off-target.
Another backs move saw wing Steve Callaghan put in the final move to score and again the conversion missed.
Scrum-half Andrew McKnight made a great break to take play into Banbridge 22. Jinks was on his shoulder to score under posts and then convert for the extras.
The next try came from a great break by Greg Neely. Quick ball out to Jinks set him up to score his fourth try of the day.
The last try from Johnny Henderson breaking out from his own 22, well into visitors half, and quick ball to centre Hall set him up to score his second. Harry Tate took over kicking duty and duly converted the try.
The final score Coleraine seconds 53 Banbridge Thirds 0.
