Sperrin to host NIPA events

THE Sperrin Club in Coleraine will host two major NIP events next month.

The first knockout event in the Open Blackball Tour will be staged at the Newmills Road venue on Saturday, March 2.

Other Tour events will be held in Bangor and Omagh.

Ranking points will also be earned at the Northern Ireland Men’s Individual Championships at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, on Sunday, November 24.

The Sperrin will also host the fourth event in the NI Seniors Tour on Sunday, March 3. Dee Irwin won the third Tour event.

Leading the pack on 35 points is Stephen Johnston, followed closely behind on 34 by Irwin.

Meanwhile the Northern Ireland Special Pool Section have a new venue this year for their annual Teams Cup. It will be played in the Sperrin Club, from Tuesday, March 5 to Thursday, March 7 inclusive.
