Following an exciting first season Coleraine Rugby Club hosted its first Annual

Ladies Dinner last Friday.

The event was well attended by the members of the team and each member was congratulated on their commitment and improvement by the team coach Tommy Van Wyk.

He also thanked Brian Kneeland and Gareth McCallum for all their help and support throughout the season.

To celebrate individual successes prizes were given out. Nicole McCook received ‘Most Improved Player’, Abigail Sharpe was named ‘Best Forward’ and Sarah Boyles scooped up ‘Best Back’ and ‘Players Player’.

The Ladies Team would like to thank their sponsors for the evening: Greg Neely Constructions, Core Gym, McDonalds, Coleraine and Brian Kneeland.

“We have been so pleased and excited at how the team progressed and strengthened within the season,” said coach Tommy Van Wyk.

“Unfortunately some of our players are heading off to begin university and so new members will be very warmly welcomed for next season.”

Pre-season training will begin at the end of July. If you are interested and are over 18, with or without any rugby experience please contact Tommy Van Wyk on 07729282693 or through our Coleraine Ladies Rugby facebook page.
