Battle of the Choirs for Community Rescue

The Community Rescue Service is holding a Battle of the Choirs at Ulster University's Coleraine campus to raise funds to put a new fast response boat on the River Bann.

The event will take place at The Diamond at the University on Friday, May 27 from 7.30pm.

The participating choirs are: Sainsbury’s Coleraine, Ballymoney Rugby Club, Finvoy YFC, Causeway Coast and Glens Council, Heart of the Family (Family in Focus and Sure Start) and Community Rescue Service.

The choirs have been busy rehearsing to make sure they give you a great night’s entertainment.

On the night there will be dancing from Innova, The Banshees and singing from Adam Goudy and Harmony & Co Ladies choir.

Tickets are on sale at The Community Rescue Service Choir on Bridge Street in Coleraine at £10 each.

As we revealed i n February a Community Rescue Service (CRS) campaign is aiming to raise £100,000 to buy a new boat for search and rescue operations on the River Bann and the 
surrounding area.

The CRS had 250 call outs to help people across Northern Ireland in the last year - with 100 in the local area.
