Dan Eggs poetry reading in Ballymoney

Ballymoney Library invites you to a poetry reading event by local poet Dan Eggs, to celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday, 6th October from 2:30pm - 3:30pm.

Ballymoney-born Dan Eggs graduated from Trinity College Dublin and began a career in writing and performing that has spanned thirty years.

Dan has written the popular ballad ‘Sweet Stella of Stranocum’ which is one of the most requested tracks on BBC Radio Ulster.

His poetry has been widely broadcast and his book ‘Big 99’ is available through Lagan Press.

National Poetry Day is the annual mass celebration of poetry and all things poetical and this year takes place on Thursday 6 October 2016, with the aim of celebrating excellence in poetry and widening its audience.

Admission to this event is free – and everyone is welcome.
