The college’s campuses are unique because nowhere else in the region offers the range of courses that we do, preparing you for Higher Education and the world of employment.

Here’s our top ten reasons for choosing Further Education when you are 16.

NWRC is not school, we have no bells, no uniform, and no strict dress code. Express yourself and be the person you’ve always wanted to be.

At NWRC, you can choose ONE subject to focus on while gaining a qualification that employers are looking for. Our Level 3 Extended Diplomas are geared for students with GCSE qualifications...they're the equivalent to 3 A Levels and are wanted by employers and top universities.

Meet new people. Our college attracts a wide range of students from different study backgrounds. Some students may be older and/or already in employment, or be studying part-time and/or with families. We also are delighted to welcome our international students who have chosen to study at NWRC.

Learning not only takes place in the classroom but the majority of our students use the skills they learn at college, in the real world, through work placements and project based learning activities.

Build your future – 93% of full time students progress to employment, Higher Education or Training.

NWRC has more than 550 courses to choose from – delivered on both a full and part time basis.

NWRC’s facilities are second to none. Many of our courses are delivered in our industry standard facilities (Professional kitchens, Hairdressing and Barbering salons, Professional Working Theatre, Motor Vehicle workshops).

NWRC’s classroom and timetable provide an environment where students learn faster and perform better.

Our Careers Academy has been recognised as the best in the UK and runs a careers programme focused on employability, enterprise and enrichment. Students can access help with career planning and interviews; and take part in bespoke programmes and interactive workshops.

For students with additional educational support needs NWRC’s state of the art Learning Resource Centre, the Learning Link , is committed to equality, diversity and to promoting an inclusive teaching and learning environment for all.

NWRC offers a huge number of courses ranging from Care and Health, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Art and Design; Administration; Business; Construction and the Built Environment; Engineering; Hospitality and Catering; Media, Multimedia and Journalism; Music; Performing Arts; Science; Sport and Leisure, Travel and Tourism; Computing and I.T., Early Years, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, and Adult Learning.
