Online donation page now open for the Mayor’s official charity

Alderman Mark Fielding selected Alzheimer’s Society at the beginning of his term, and it’s hoped this method of donating will help to mitigate against the difficulties of fundraising at this time.

Members of the public who wish to support this very worthy cause can go to www.causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk/council/mayor/the-mayors-charity and follow the simple steps.

The Mayor said: “My chosen charity was inspired by my father, who developed dementia later in life, and I’m sure many people in the Borough have experienced something similar in their own families.

“Alzheimer’s Society plays an important role in our community by providing a range of services for those in need and it is fully deserving of our support. With traditional fundraising greatly curtailed over the past year we have set up this system as a simple way to receive donations online.

“Your support is needed more than ever so please give what you can to ensure the important work of Alzheimer’s Society continues across the Borough.”
