Community Relations Week sees the launch of the 2014 -2017 Good Relations Strategy and Action Plan for the new Causeway Coast and Glens Council.
The strategy is the culmination of six months work by the four councils within the new ‘super-council’ - Ballymoney, Limavady, Coleraine and Moyle.
In preparation for coming together as one, the four councils have worked in collaboration to seek and identify common issues on good relations and community cohesion, ensuring all work results in value for money and has maximum impact on the ground.
Each Council recognises its role of providing civic leadership within all communities in order to build a more integrated, equal and cohesive community – one that is prosperous, integrated, open, accessible, safer and welcoming to all. The plan is directed to all those who live, work or socialise in the Council area.
