Age Concern Causeway (ACC) was delighted with the success of their annual Active Age programme launch in the West Bann Development Centre in Coleraine.

Steve McCrudden, Older Persons Facilitator at ACC, said: ‘We had a great turnout at the event, with over 40 members who were very interested in the new programme and particularly enjoyed the beetle drive that followed.

“The high attendance and interaction at the event is great evidence that ACC are meeting their aim of providing meaningful and enjoyable activities for older people in the Causeway area. This year’s programme consists of a mixture of weekly fun activities including: indoor bowling, gentle exercise, line dancing, lunch club, reminiscence, swimming, ten pin bowling and a walking group. ACC is also running a monthly men’s group and a ten pin bowling session as well as the very popular quarterly bus runs and tea dances.

If you are over the age of 55, or know someone who is, and are interested in attending any of the activities please contact Steve on 02870357966. Membership is free and there is a small surcharge for each activity.
