“AXA are a locally based insurer, and we’d like to give something back to the community we serve”.
The Causeway Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust network of foodbanks, and provides emergency food for local people in crisis. The Causeway Foodbank works with over 100 agencies, and all frontline care professionals to actively refer local people in need to the Foodbank. Their aim is to provide each person in need with breakfast, lunch and dinner for 3 days.
AXA are urging customers and local business’s alike to use their branch to drop off non-perishable food to help local people in need.
Despite the rise in economy, there has been a 26% rise in service in the last year.
The Causeway Foodbank is relying more and more on donations to provide emergency food for people in crisis.
AXA branch Staff, Michelle McLaughlin, Vicki Simm and Sundeep Kaur will be opening their branch to the public for food donations from June 8-13.
The branch will be open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am – 2pm on Saturday and they are located at AXA Direct, 26 The Diamond, Coleraine.
