ZUMBA lovers, fitness fanatics and fun seekers in North Coast are being encouraged to take part in a special Zumba party in aid of learning disability charity, Mencap.
The event will take place at Millburn Primary School, Coleraine, on Saturday, September 22 from 1pm to 3.30pm and will welcome people of all ages and abilities to get together and Zumba for charity.
Hosted by Catherine Simpson, a fully qualified and experienced instructor, an evening of high energy and Latin fever is guaranteed.
Michelle Greer from Mencap in Ballymoney says Zumba has taken the country by storm because it is suitable for women - and men - of all shapes, sizes and abilities.
“We know that there are lots of people across the county who really enjoy Zumba on a regular basis as not only does it keep them fit, but more importantly it’s fun!
“We are hoping as many as possible will join Mencap’s first ever Zumba party and make this a hugely successful event for us.
“All the money raised will go towards the services we provide in the local area supporting both children and adults with a learning disability. With two babies born every week in Northern Ireland with a learning disability, and numbers set to increase by 14% in 2021, we need the public’s support more than ever.”
Registration is at 12.30pm with a suggested donation of £5 or pay £10 for entry and get a Mencap t-shirt and a bottle of water. Refreshments will be available for sale plus there will be a raffle with fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Places are limited, so join the party as soon as possible and email Mencap on firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
