Cocaine factory found on north coast

The PSNI has uncovered a cocaine press and other drug-related material in raids of four addresses.

Two people have been arrested in Coleraine in connection with the production and supply of the class A drug cocaine after the searches.

The four properties are all in Coleraine, and police said they had been targeting what “we believe is an organised crime gang involved in the production and supply of cocaine”.

The PSNI added: “At one of the addresses we uncovered a cocaine press and a large quantity of bulking agent along with drugs paraphernalia and other items used in cocaine production”.

The added: “We have arrested a 30-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man on suspicion of a number of drugs offences including ‘possession of class A drugs’ and ‘possession of class A drugs with intent to supply’ as well as ‘conspiracy to supply class A drugs’ and ‘being concerned in the production of class A drugs, namely cocaine.”

Both remain in custody at time of writing.
