Two further people have stepped forward to make complaints against a Coleraine man charged with sex offences against a teenage girl, the town’s Magistrates Court was told last Monday.
Jonathan McNeill (29) of Greenmount Crescent, is currently in custody charged with several offences.
The accused faces 12 charges: two of engaging in sexual activity with a child; two of meeting a child following sexual grooming, two of trafficking for sexual exploitation; rape; sexual assault; sexual assault with penetration; causing or inciting a child (13-16) in sexual activity and two charges of child abduction.
A defence barrister said a cash surety of £40,000 could be put up to secure bail.
Bail was refused in case of a risk of further offending and interference with witnesses.
District Judge Liam McNally said that since the date of the alleged offences two further complainants have made complaints against the accused and he said there may be further evidence on a phone.
Bail was refused and the case was adjourned until June 29.
