Kind hearted singer Curtis Magee has a lot to sing about these days - and all for a good cause too.

With a brand new album just released, his 30th to date, and a busy diary of gigs, Curtis remains one of the busiest entertainers on the circuit today, but hestill finds to help those in need by raising lots of money for various local charities.

Every June, at his now highly acclaimed and successful Fanfayre, fans and friends flock from all over the UK and Ireland, to join Curtis for four days of non stop entertainment at The Lodge Hotel in Coleraine.

This year Curtis managed to raise £3,000 for The Mounfern Adult Centre in Coleraine.

This money will be used for their new gardening project and will also provide special treats and outings for those who use the centre on a daily basis.

Mountfern holds a very special place with Curtis, as each year he puts on a special afternoon show for them at his annual Fanfayre. He also visits the centre before Christmas to do a party for all his fans.

Curtis says: “I get great pleasure from entertaining, it is what I do best but I also get tremendous satisfaction from giving something back to those who need it most.

“I pick a different charity every year and over the past nine years of hosting the Fanfayre here in Coleraine I have managed to raise over £20,000

“I look forward to next year’s Fanfayre.”
