When we log on to Facebook or Twitter now-a-days we are inundated with ‘Selfies’, but there aren’t too many like Rodd Hogg’s!
The local magician finally decided to join the craze of taking a self-portrait with a camera phone and posting it on social media.
But Rodd’s is just a wee bit different, as you would expect, for his camera phone seems to be doing all the work, as Rodd casually poses with both hands in his trouser pockets.
“I had never taken a ‘Selfie’ before,” Rodd told the Coleraine Times.
“So rather than doing the usual pose I thought I had to come up with something a bit different, something original, I think I certainly did that.”
As with all good magicians Rodd wouldn’t disclose how he managed to take his very special ‘Selfie’.
“It took a wee bit of work to make the phone levitate and also take the picture,” said Rodd.
“I’m very pleased with the outcome, it’s not a bad picture and it’s in focus!
“Maybe there’s a market there to develop an App for this,” he joked.
The picture has gone down a storm on social media after Rodd posted it to his page.
At the time of going to press it had received nearly 450 ‘likes’ and numerous comments as people tried to work out just how Rodd managed to do it.
“If I had taken an ordinary ‘selfie’ I don’t think it would have created as much of a stir,” added Rodd, who said it would also be his last ‘Selfie’.
