AREA Commander, Chief Inspector Nicky Thompson has told a Policing and Community Safety Partnership Meeting that there is no place in the Coleraine Borough for those involved in the recent gun attacks.
Chief Inspector Thompson was responding to Alderman James McClure who asked for an update on recent shootings in Coleraine.
Alderman McClure said: “I thought these days were over. What has been done about these incidents?”
Chief Inspector Thompson told the meeting that the investigations into the incidents were still “live” and that forensic examinations were still being carried out.
“There is no place in Coleraine for these individuals,” warned the Area Commander.
He went on to appeal to the public for information: “ We must intercept these people,” said the Area Commander.
