Kilrea Young Farmers Club is planning a major celebration to mark its 70th anniversary.
The first ever meeting of Kilrea YFC was held in Kilrea Town Hall on March 21, 1945.
To celebrate its platinum anniversary, Kilrea Young Farmers Club is holding a 70th Anniversary Dinner Dance in the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush on Saturday, November 7 from 7.30pm
Tickets are available from Club Leader Adam McCormick, Secretary Kerrie Thompson and Treasurer Lauren McIlroy and cost £25 .
Music on the evening will be by The Bentley Boys.
A club spokesperson said: “It would be lovely to see many previous club members join us on this occasion as they are a big part of the club’s continuing success. Individual tickets can be booked or tables of eight to ten.”
The club has grown over the years and has tremendous support from the local rural community.
Kilrea YFC is well into its Winter Programme and with some new members on board have had club meetings to include Ice Breakers, Keep Fit and Go-Karting.
The club also took part in the Floral Art Competition at Magherafelt High School with Mark Andersonand Amy Thompson second in their categories with Thomas Gordon grabbing a first place.
