Fancy a four week training and nutrition programme with a former Miss Universe?

Well that’s the prize being offered up by Coleraine woman Lesley Ann Armstrong.

Lesley Ann (32) who is a fully trained physiotherapist, has been crowned Miss Northern Ireland and Miss World, and now she is hoping to share her fitness and nutrition knowledge with others, in a bid to help a charity that’s close to her heart.

Lesley Ann has donated the prize, worth £350. The lucky winner will benefit from a fitness and nutrition transformation which includes pt session with the Coleraine woman.

The money raised from the raffle will be donated to a woman in Germany who specialises in rehoming staffordshire bull terriers. Lesley Ann is a dog lover herself, and is the proud owner of a cute little pug named Tyson.

She regularly visits an animal rehoming centre in Londonderry, where she now lives.

Lesley Ann takes up the story: “I had taken a Staffordshire terrier from a rehoming centre. Had I not taken the dog that day, it would have been put down.

“I got in contact with a lady called Ruth Augspurger in Germany, who specialises in rehoming this breed of dogs, and she was able to get the little dog rehomed. I think it actually ended up in Sweden.

“Ruth does all this from her own home, and I just thought it would be a nice idea to give something back to her. She is so dedicated and will even pay for doggy passports, if it means that a dog is saved from being put to sleep.

“I’ve had quite a lot of interest so far, so I am hoping by the time the closing date comes, Friday, January 8, that I will have a good wee bit of money to hand over to her.”

The dedicated Coleraine, who woman trains every day, and has a real passion for fitness, she says that she hopes the prize, which also includes a sports masasge and a voucher for Boots, will help someone transform their lives for the better.

In the past few weeks the sculpted Coleraine woman Lesley Ann has taken part in a raunchy photo shoot: “ I really enjoyed the photo shoot. It is something that I would like to do more of,” she admitted.
