Toberdoney Fold is asking the public to sponsor a light on their Tree of Remembrance for the Northern Ireland Hospice Kilrea Support Group.
This year many people will be spending the festive season missing a loved one.
Sponsoring a light on the Tree of Remembrance - whch has been lit from December 5 - is a special way to remember them whilst helping to provide care to local adults living with a terminal illness.
Every donation, big or small, goes a long way.
John Phillip the local community fundraiser praised the Toberdoney Fold for their continued support
“Thank you so much for choosing to support the Northern Ireland Hospice year in year out in this very touching way,” he said.
“Northern Ireland Hospice Community Nurses cared for 56 people in the Kilrea area last year.
“This care is free to our patients and their families, but is not free to provide.
“Every £30 raised in the local area will help pay for an hour of Hospice care,” he added.
Shelia Donnelly from the Kilrea Hospice Support Group added:” We would like to thank Kenny’s, Kilrea for supplying the tree this year and for the past five years.
“Anyone wishing to sponsor a light on the Tree of Remembrance and help families in the local area, can make a donation by calling me on 028 29541185 or visiting Toberdoney Fold.”
Sheila added: “We would also like to thank Mcatamney’s Butchers, Barry Dallat and Staff from Arbrutus Catering (Swatragh) and Paul from Mace (Kilrea) for supporting our annual ‘Big Fry’ which raised over £1000 and will provide over 30 hours of Hospice care in the local area”.
So please support the Hospice by sponsoring a light on the Tree of Remembrance at Toberdoney.
