Lush! going Dutch

BOXING night at Lush! is always one of the biggest party nights on the Irish clubbing calendar.

Approaching its 16th year, the famous Kelly’s venue is justifiably hailed as Ireland’s best & longest running weekly club night.

This year’s Boxing Night party is as big as they get with two of the world’s leading DJ’s flying in from Holland to keep the Lush! faithful rocking.

Behind the decks Marco V and Richard Durand have smashed nights in all the world’s farthest corners, played a near uncountable number of tent-pole events for the scene’s flagship club and festival brands.

As a result of which they have spent the last seven consecutive years inside the ranks of DJ Magazine’s Top 50.

Marco V has established himself as one of the most inventive, diverse and creative electronic music minds working today.

Through his very first releases he became the architect of tech-trance; a sound that went on to become a fully-fledged electronic music phenomena.

Continually modifying and fine-tuning his style ever since, he has gone on to create numerous leading-edge dance classics - ‘Godd’, ‘Indicator’, ‘Echnalava’, ‘More Than A Life Away’ & ‘Coma Aid’

numbered among them.

Without doubt one of the hottest trance DJ’s and producers to emerge from Holland in recent years, Richard Durand was recommended by the mighty Tiësto as his ‘Tip For The Top in 2007’.

Durand has responded with a string of stunning productions, including official remixes for Tiësto, culminating in a new entry placing in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll and subsequent rise into the Top 50 places.

The Richard Durand sound is trance, techno and tough electro in a unique package that’s both dynamic and devastating.

2011 has seen two further landmark releases for Richard Durand, starting the year with his second artist album ‘Wide Awake’ which came loaded with several massive singles including the ‘Wide Awake’ title single feat. Ellie Lawson on vocals, ‘Explode’, ‘Night And Day’ feat. Christian Burns and ‘N.Y.C’ featuring Jes.

The album project was soon followed by the next instalment of the ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ series of CDs; ISOS9 featured India as the theme with the global tour dates starting in the Netherlands in May and crossing all continent s to culminate in a homecoming tour of India at the end of 2012.
