Meet the music industry at Flowerfield

For those who have been wondering how to make contacts in the music industry, Flowerfield Arts Centre offers the answer on December 12, as the centre welcomes a

collection of artists, labels, managers and creatives for a special half day event designed to bring the music industry to YOU!

Output#02 has been put together by the new Northern Ireland music industry development programme Generator NI, and offers a half day of panel discussions,

networking opportunities and a showcase, headlined with an acoustic performance by rising star Silhouette.

Admission to the event, which runs from 2pm to 6pm, is absolutely free, and to participate, all you need to do is register your interest by e-mailing

The featured speakers for the event include Rory Friers from And So I Watch You From Afar. The band has just celebrated its most successful year so far, with shows coming up in the United States and India.

Also taking part in the panel discussions will be Shauna Tohill from Silhouette, who have scored a massive radio hit with ‘Can’t Keep Up’, and who have spent the summer playing with Blondie and Imelda May as well as playing some of the UK’s leading festivals.

Paul Hamill from electronic duo Psycatron has played shows in Europe, the United States and Australia, and has remixed artists including Simian Mobile Disco, among others.

Coleraine-born Anthony Toner is one of the most well-respected performers and songwriters in Northern Ireland, having showcased in Nashville and Austin – his latest album Sing Under the Bridges was shortlisted for this year’s inaugural Northern Ireland Music Prize.

Jonny Tate runs two of Northern Ireland’s most revered festivals – Harvest and Pigstock, both of which have featured headline performances from the likes of Villagers.

Also taking part will be Lyndon Stephens, who runs Chapion Sound Recordings, releasing music and managing artists such as Unknown and Ryan Vail.Rocky O’Reilly, the former keyboard maestro with Oppenheimer, now runs Start ogether Studios, and has recorded the cream of Northern Ireland talent, including

SIWYFA, Duke Special and General Fiasco. He also co-manages emerging talent The Wonder Villains.

Those with an interest in a career in the music industry are invited to come along, meet the panel, throw some questions, network and share information with other musicians and panel members, and enjoy an acoustic performance from Silhouette.
