MLA for East Londonderry, Claire Sugden is urging local farmers to attend a public meeting in Limavady, which will offer advice to dairy farmers affected by falling market milk prices.
The MLA said: “I recently met with Dairy Representatives from the Ulster Farmers Union.
“Although I am pleased that DARD are bringing farmers together to discuss issues and receive support, I hope that these concerns will be actively pursued by, in partnership with farmers, to provide pragmatic solutions.
“This is a rural constituency where the impact of milk price instability has been felt by many farmers.
“I strongly encourage farmers to attend the meeting at Roe Valley Park Resort, Limavady, on March 2nd.“
