Air Ambulance scrambled to assist cyclist serioualy injured in traffic collision

The Air Ambulance has just been scrambled to assist a cyclist who was injured in a collision with a lorry.

The incident happened on the Millburn Road, Coleraine.

Police are in attendance at the scene of the collision.

There are no further details at this time.

The Air Ambulance has been scrambled to the Millburn Road, Coleraine. It is understood a cyclist has been seriously injured. Police, NIAS are also in attendance. No further info at this time.

A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said they ‘received a 999 call at 12.57 following reports of an RTC at Milburn Road, Coleraine’.

He said: ‘NIAS despatched one Emergency crew to the scene.

“The charity Air Ambulance with HEMS crew on board is also tasked to the incident.

“Incident is still ongoing.”
