THE Northern Ireland Policing Board has completed the process to appoint Independent Members to Coleraine Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP).
Speaking about the appointments Board Chair Brian Rea said:
“I am very pleased that, following the appointment of four Independent Members, Coleraine PCSP has now reached full complement. The good work that has been started to improve community safety in the area can now wholly continue.
“While it is important to have full political and independent membership of the PCSP, its effectiveness is very much dependant on community involvement and I would encourage local people to take the opportunity play their part.”
Welcoming the appointments Justice Minister, David Ford MLA said: “Through their appointment, Independent Members will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the work of the partnerships.
“They are clearly dedicated to improving community safety and local policing, and, ultimately making their community safer. I wish them well upon taking up their new positions.”
