McAfee Auction Christmas Sale was a great success with strong demand for the better lots.

Top price of the evening was £2850 for a sapphire and diamond ring, hotly contested by room and absentee bidders, while a John Trickett oil ‘Golden Retrievers’ realised £1300, and a 1960’s kings pattern canteen rushed from £150 - £820.

Other pieces included a rolex 9ct gold half hunter pocket watch £660, a selection of rings £320 - £520 and a gold bracelet £500.
