THE Strand Hotel reunion night is just around the corner.

And this week, we can reveal more details about the line up.

The event, at Lush! in Kelly’s, Portrush, on Friday, April 8 is selling out fast.

All proceeds on the night will be going to Meningitis UK.

For many the night promises to bring back memories of hen and stag parties, weddings and maybe even an old flame!

In its heyday The Strand always had great bands like ‘Cuddles’, ‘Fresh’, ‘Rascals’ and many great DJ’s.

One of the highlights of the evening will include the reunion of local legends ‘Cuddles’.

Plug Torrens, Dominic Loughrey, Marine Fullerton and Brian Bell will be playing together for the first time in many years.

Former DJ’s will also be strutting their stuff - Brian Moore, Barrie Owler and Clement Dealey to name just a few.

Brian is really looking forward to the big night, when he plans to play some of the old tunes he played in the Cellar nightclub.

He told The Times: “Lots of people met their partners, wives and husbands at the nights I did there, and some of them still haven’t forgiven me.

“Since details of the event were announced, I’ve been getting stopped by people asking for specific tunes such is the wave of nostalgia attached to this night.”

Tickets, priced at £10 are on sale now from the following outlets - Kelly’s, Portrush; Couples, Coleraine; Dempsey’s of Portstewart; Angela McKenna, Carl Montieth and Arrosto Cafe in Portrush.
