A local B&B has been rated the second best in the world by travellers.
Shola Coach House in Portrush was singled out among the elite hostelries in the Travellers’ Choice Awards, which honour the most outstanding places to stay.
The awards take into account the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and opinions and traveller ratings specific to each award category.
The property at Gateshead Road boasts four individually-styled bedrooms, an enclosed stone secret garden and sumptuous interiors in every nook.
It is owned by Sharon and David Schindler. The pair opened the business two years ago after returning to the Province from New Zealand. The Schindler’s Shola haven came second only to Millgate B&B in Masham, North Yorkshire.
Last year the local accomodation, scooped the top award for their B&B in the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards.
