Social Development Minister Mervyn Storey MLA has visited the Ballysally Integrated Nurturing Programme at Ballysally Primary School, Coleraine, which has received over £338,000 from the Department’s Neighbourhood Renewal Investment Fund.

The Programme aims to raise educational attainment through targeted support, services and interventions from a very early age through to adulthood.

The School was hosting their Families and Schools Together event.

Commenting, Minister Storey said: “Today’s event provides an excellent showcase of the impact that can be achieved by a community working together.

“The Ballysally Integrated Nurturing Programme supports families from early years onwards and has proved to be a model of best practice which has successfully been applied in other communities and areas across Northern Ireland.”
