Home-Start Causeway celebrated the success of its volunteers, established and new recently.

Volunteers completed training funded through CYPSP and the Causeway Volunteer Centre.

Much fun was had by all despite the serious topics of Family Stress Issues; Building resilience; and Emergency First Aid.

Each year many families are supported by a team of over 30 local volunteers.

These men and women come from all over the Causeway area, from all ages and backgrounds, and give 2-3 hours of their own time each week to support a young family who can benefit from an extra pair of hands and a wealth of parenting experience to tap into.

Recently the Home-Start Team enjoyed team-building activities in Corrymeela and completed the year with a Family Fun Day in also in Corrymeela.

Home-Start Causeway would like to thank all our various funders and particularly the very strong team of dedicated volunteers who give so much to their local community through the gift of their time.
