THE fourth annual Portballintrae Residents’ Association Art Show and Sale took place at the weekend.
The event, which was held in association with the Causeway Coast Artists’ Coop, (CCA), showcased 150 pieces of very high quality work by local artists and photographers.
Portballintrae Village Hall, as usual, was a superb venue and prices ranged from a very affordable £45 to £600.
The sale raised more than £800 for the Portballintrae Residents’ Association to buy equipment for the hall and village.
Brian Beesley, Chairman of Portballintrae Residents’ Association, said: “It is such a great event for the village. I want to thank everyone that came out to support it”.
Suzanne Mortimer, treasurer of CCA, said: “I am very impressed with the high quality of art submitted.
“Every year it seems to get better and better. We are already making plans for next years sale which will be August 17-18, 2013. I would like to thank the artists, the helpers and the people who came out to look and buy.
“Their ongoing support is greatly appreciated and it couldn’t happen without them”.
