Thunderstorms forecast as severe weather warning issued
A severe weather warning has been issued for Northern Ireland.
Temperatures across the country are expected to be higher than San Francisco and Barcelona but severe rain and thunderstorms are predicted for after 5.00p.m. on Tuesday.
The weather warning was issued by the Met Office on Monday morning; it is valid from 5:00p.m. on Tuesday until 6:00p.m. on Wednesday.
Some places could see around 30 mm of rainfall in an hour and more than 50 mm in a few hours.
Frequent lightning, large hail and strong winds could be additional hazards.
Disruption to power is also possible, according to the Met Office warning.
