Ulster Unionist Councillor Darryl Wilson has condemned the latest sectarian attack on Rasharkin Orange Hall
Cllr Wilson said: “I received a number of reports early on Saturday morning that yet another sectarian attack on Rasharkin Orange Hall had taken place. These attacks have been continual and relentless over the past number of years as a small Republican element within the village continues their campaign to drive the Orange Order and protestant community from the village.”
Cllr Wilson added” this was quite clearly an attempt to raise tensions ahead of the upcoming marching season.”
“Such attacks on public places like Orange Halls, GAA facilities, graveyards and Churches are totally uncalled for and I would appeal to those responsible to cease these attacks which are fuelled by Intolerance and hatred.
