Portstewart woman Anna McAuley has been shortlisted for the Calor Community Champion 2013.

Since the launch of the website, it has gone from strength to strength and is seen by many parents as a free support tool. Speaking about kiddiecal, Anna explained: “After moving to NI and starting a family, I quickly realised that without close family and friends nearby, it was a challenge to get hold of information on kid’s activities.
“It was slow, if not hard work, to find out about enrolment dates and clubs, especially as I was working full time. With the help of a couple of friends and a large kitchen table, Kiddiecal.com was created.”
The winner of the Calor Community Champion 2013 will receive £1,300 and a bursary of £6,500 to give to their nominated charity or local organisation. The two runners-up receive will each receive £400. Calor is even throwing in £400 for the person or organisation that nominated them.
