NORTHERN Ireland Hospice is encouraging people from the North Coast area to take part in their popular Portstewart Strand Hospice Walk.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 31 at 10am.
Heather Weir, Director of Nursing and Patient Services for the Northern Ireland Hospice is encouraging everyone to step out and make a difference.
“The Hospice Walk is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year and we are grateful to everyone who takes part and raises sponsorship.
All the money raised from the event will be used to provide vital services to over 3000 people across Northern Ireland. I would encourage everyone in the local community to get involved by registering today.”
Ashers Baking Company is the official sponsor of the Portstewart Hospice Walk and will be present on the day to officially open the walk with the Mayor of Coleraine Maurice Bradley.
Bob the Baker will also be in attendance with Ashers goodies and refreshments being given to participants.
Lynn Boyce, Events Fundraiser for the Hospice, said: “We are calling upon all individuals, businesses, schools, church groups and organisations to take part in the Portstewart Hospice Walk.
“The walk is suitable for all fitness levels and you can enter as a group or individually to take part!
“It’s a great way to spend a day out whilst supporting a local charity. You can also bring your dog along too!”
